Firefrost © 2020 Design by  Mark Sonoma

For its characteristics, Firefrost® does not need the CE mark.

    Technical Characteristics:

    • Firefrost® is a paraffin candle made to face blizzards at fruit, horticultural or vineyards crops.
    • Composition: hardened paraffin candle with a volume of 6.3 liters, placed inside of a metallic flask specially made to offer a better handling and the best emission of heat and duration of combustion.
    • Package not flammable and suitable for recycling. It is recommended to prepare the flask in order to allow its recycling.
    • The metal flask is resistant enough to prevent any melting
    • The Firefrost® heating time will depend on the amount of Firefrost® products per area, external temperature, humidity and the force of the wind. There is no wind action in the case of a convection frost.
    • Length lasts for between 10 and 12 hours.
    • Its usage can be reckon as financeable expenses at the operating funds for any fruits and vegetables producer organization.
    • It is a safe product:

o Paraffin is insoluble in water.
o Due to the special treatment of our wick our product is less pollutant and more suitable our competitor’s.
o Faster and cleaner handling. Cover easy to open and close. Its resistant grip allows a quick handling and placing.
o Faster lightning. We suggest to light its fire with a Bunsen blowtorch
    o Faster putout.
o Allows a safe handling by applying the safety measures while burning.

    • Can be used several times with just its cover closing it but not completely, in order to allow its lightning if there is enough paraffin to face another frost.
    • Specially conceived cube that is more resistant to heat and can hold more paraffin which allow a more lasting burn and a better emission of heat.

    Emissions reduction:

    • Thanks to Blaze Protech technology Firefrost emits 30% less solid particles on its combustión, being cleaner and environmentally friendly.
    • Emissions reduction: 30% nitrogen oxide (NOx) and 15% carbon monoxide (CO).

Safety recommendations for the usage of FireFrost®

    • Please follow the warnings on the Firefrost® label.
    • The product and the holder will heat. Beware of fire and burnings.
    • As a safety measure, and anticipating frosts, it is recommended to inform about the usage of Firefrost® to any competent authority.
    • Firefrost® must be used exclusively on exteriors.
    • Must be placed over no flammable surface.
    • Must be placed on flat surfaces..
    • Take care that the candle is burning well while on its flask.
    • Keep a safe distance from any flammable objects.
    • Safety measures and precaution must be applied within any flammable objects.
    • For the usage, it is recommended to keep a constant watch, correct instructed and warned employees and also the elements and control measures needed for fire extinguishing.
    • Do not touch, transport or manipulate the flask until it’s cold and the paraffin has hardened.
    • Make sure of: the right placement – the right lighting – a safe and controlled combustion – a correct storing – a correct recycling of the flask.

Handling and disposition recommendations for the usage of FireFrost®

    • It would be recommended to hold at least a flask per plant for the case of a fruits or vineyards crop that hold a density of less than 650 plants per hectare. This is a non-binding recommendation.
    • Place the flask right next to the plant to protect, but a correct safety distance must be kept in order to not harm plants by overheat. Flasks must be disposed over the same distance between them over a flat surface and away from any flammable objects.
    • The amount of Firefrost® flasks to place must be done by counting on climatologic characteristics (as temperature, humidity, the speed and wind direction, et cetera) and the kind of crop (the orientation of the plot, the rows, the humidity of the soil, the density of the plantations, the phonological stage, et cetera).
    • It is recommended to reinforce the perimeter of the plots taking in count the wind direction if there is any while the frost.
    • Open the Firefrost® flask and place the cover net to the flask and proceed to light the wick with a Bunsen blowtorch.
    • It is recommended to first light up half of the Firefrost® flasks. As the frosts intensify, light up the others.
    • To turn off, it would be enough to dispose the cover over the flask. Warning: the flask will remain hot.
    • If the paraffin is not completely consumed, Firefrost® can be always reused. It is enough to use the cover without closing it hermetically, which can be done once the flask is cold. By doing so, the wax remains protected from any water in the case of rain and also the opening will be easier if necessary.
    • Once cooled, the flask can be transported following the safety measures, to other location if necessary.

    Logistics

      • o Weight: 1100 Kg.
    • Dimensions of a flask:
      • o Cubic volume: 6,3 litrs at 90ºC.

For its characteristics, Firefrost® Premium does not need the CE mark.

    Technical Characteristics:

    • Firefrost® Premium is a refined paraffin candle made to face blizzards at fruit, horticultural or vineyards crops.
    • Composition: hardened refined paraffin candle with a volume of 6.2 liters, placed inside of a metallic flask specially made to offer a better handling and the best emission of heat and duration of combustion.
    • Package not flammable and suitable for recycling. It is recommended to prepare the flask in order to allow its recycling.

    • Specially conceived cube that is more resistant to heat and can hold more paraffin which allow a more lasting burn and a better emission of heat. Refined paraffin that is not toxic, has a relatively small emission of smoke, last longer and can spread more heat.

    Emissions reduction:

    • Thanks to Blaze Protech technology Firefrost emits 70% less solid particles on its combustión, being cleaner and environmentally friendly.
    • Emissions reduction: 70% nitrogen oxide (NOx) and 30% carbon monoxide (CO).
